New 16-Station Instron Fatigue Tester Installed
MeKo MedLab has expanded its laboratory with a state-of-the-art Instron fatigue testing system featuring 16 independent stations. The new multi-sample tester enables simultaneous fatigue testing of stents and other medical components—marking a milestone as the first system of its kind in Germany.
To commission the system, a two-person expert team from the UK conducted an in-depth training session with the future users at MeKo MedLab. In parallel, a technician from Germany calibrated all 16 load cells to ensure precise and reliable measurements. Initial prototypes for customized sample holders were also tested successfully during the setup phase.

The new fatigue tester allows for parallel lifetime simulations under realistic loading conditions. This significantly shortens development timelines and supports product approval processes.
